When did Kamal start this journey in real estate?
Previously in the engineering industry for 24 years, Kamal took the brave step to enter the real estate industry in 2016. He joined a PropNex team leader group and, since then, has found a solid footing in the industry, doing very well in his sales today.
What makes you consistent and motivated to achieve more?
What drives me to succeed every single day is my family. They are the number one factor in everything that I do. I wish to give the best things in life to my parents, wife, in-laws, and siblings. I hope to be the person they can look up to in life.
How do you get clients?
I used to use flyers, do roadshows, meet a lot of people, and join communities before I started radio and podcasting. My first client is the man that I drove when I was working as a valet. I took the courage to message one of them, and they engaged me to sell their landed property and build trust with them.
How much do you spend on branding?
I do this not just for myself but also for my team. One month for social media marketing and other stuff is $8K–10K.
How to get clients consistently
I always believe in marketing. We must demonstrate and expose ourselves in public. When I started, I never stopped sending birthday cards to them. I also go out and meet people. Getting clients is all about marketing; if you never expose and market yourself, no matter how good you are, people will not know you. It is important for a salesperson to stay connected to clients and friends and maintain a strong social media presence.
How familiar are you with calculations to guide the clients?
I developed my own sales strategy, which I often share during trainings with other salespeople on how to manage clients’ property portfolios and help with asset progression effectively.
Conclusion
According to what you heard from Kamal, they had a system at first. Second, keep in touch with clients. Kamal just joined us for 6 years, and some of you here have been here longer than him. So never stop to add your value to your clients.
